Our Sky Production Services Life Behind The Lens event welcomes applicants 18 years + from ALL areas and with a particular focus on residents from the North Kensington community. As neighbourhood organisations we want to help the recovery of the Grenfell Community and work with TV film makers who want to develop their television careers. Whether this is in studio or post production, within roles that range from hair and makeup to technical skills such as sound, lighting and floor management. There is always a role for the talented and passionate at Sky. Come and see for yourself.

If you have ambitions to be part of the TV industry but have never really known how to get started then we are offering you a truly unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at Sky Studios, experiencing first-hand the roles, craft and skill needed to work in a live studio environment.

Giving insight and expertise into roles such as; Lighting, Cameras, Sound, Make Up, Scenery, Floor Management, Technical Management, Graphics, Vision Mixing and Editing

The successful applicants will get to spend half a day working in one of the most sought-after Production facilities in the country. Teams from Production Studios & Post Production will take you on a journey to understand what they do behind the lens, the real work that brings a television show to life.

Insight and expertise on the day will be provided by professionals from the world of; Lighting, Cameras, Sound, Make Up, Scenery, Floor Management, Technical Management, Graphics, Vision Mixing and Editing.

How to Apply

So you want to pursue a career in TV? Shoot us a short 1 minute video answering ALL THREE of the questions below:

  • How will this Sky Production Services Bootcamp benefit you and what role have you always dreamed of working in?
  • What have you achieved or currently doing in your media career?
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Make sure you fill out the form on the right and attach your video as either a YouTube or Vimeo link. Be creative with your application and remember videos should be no longer than 1 minute in length. We also accept visuals, pictures, letters and CV’s/credit lists of any previous work experience (if you have any) in addition to the video as long as ALL THREE questions are answered.

All applicants must be over 18 years + and available on 27th November 2019 AND 29th November 2019.
